Flannery's Hotel, Galway are recruiting for a part-time Commis Chef This position may suit a student studying Culinary Arts in college that is looking for some industry experience to start their career.
All candidates must be fluent in english and trained in HACCP.
Main Duties & Responsibilities : Prepare and ensure that mis-en-place stock levels are as required.
Prepare and present food to Company standards as instructed by your Manager.
Ensure correct portion control as instructed by your Manager.
Operate with a cost effective approach that will not damage the quality of the product provided.
Maintain a close working relationship with the rest of the Kitchen Team and those in other areas as required in order to provide a smooth and efficient service.
Assisting with regular stock takes to ensure costs are controlled and that all stocks are accounted for.
Assist with keeping equipment costs as low as possible and ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained as per the Cleaning Schedules.
Contribute to new menus by suggesting new ideas.
Assist the kitchen team with food prep and production
