Job Summary : We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedAssistant AccountantorPart-Qualified Accountantto join our finance team on a 6-month maternity cover contract.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in management accounting who is looking to gain further experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities : Prepare theweekly site P&L report, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders Review weekly and monthly overhead spending and report variances against budget and forecast.
Analysis weeklyDistribution costs, identifying key drivers of variance against budget and forecast Issue weekly waste reports and maintain and review obsolete stock provision Ensure accurate and complete stock valuation on the balance sheet for all locations.
Coordinate and manage quarterly stock count audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments for overhead costs.
Preparation of budgeted and forecasted overhead spends for the sites Participate inad hoc financial projectsand initiatives as required, contributing to continuous improvement and business support Qualifications & Experience : Minimum two years experience in a similar role, ideally within the FMCG industry Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable Strong understanding of management accounting principles Experience with accruals, prepayments, budgeting, and forecasting Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with stock audits and reconciliations Skills : job desired skills
