Our client, a renowned leader in the insurance industry, is seeking to hire an accountant to join their dynamic team. This position sits within the Financial Operations team, with a key focus on managing and overseeing operational finance functions. The role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Operations.

Responsibilities :

• Take ownership of reconciliations, ensuring completion within established timelines, while diligently following up on any outstanding tasks.
• Actively contribute to system implementations, including assessing their impact, defining processes, and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Drive process efficiencies and automation within the finance operations, actively seeking opportunities to enhance workflows and collaborating with the team to instigate continuous improvements across the finance function.
• Collaborate with underwriters, operations, and project management teams to ensure that new products and distribution channels are seamlessly integrated into finance processes, ensuring scalability and control.
• Assist in documenting end-to-end processes to support financial controls.
• Support both internal and external audits on finance-related operational matters.
• Work closely with the tax team and outsourced providers to ensure timely and accurate tax submissions, such as IPT.
• Partner with the treasury team to enhance processes for payment processing, including establishing appropriate disbursement controls and forecasting significant receipts or payments.
