Job Description

Elgin Energy is looking for a Financial Accountant, on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager.

What you will do :

  • Managing the day-to-day finance functions, including reviewing reconciliation of all bank accounts and oversight of intercompany transactions;
  • Preparation and review of month-end reporting process and accounts;
  • Production of  consolidated  monthly management accounts together with supporting financial analysis and commentary;
  • Contribution to internal and external reporting requirements;
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns in Ireland and the UK;
  • Co-ordinate and prepare annual audit pack for external auditors; and
  • Answering ad hoc queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with various business units within the Elgin group .

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have :

  • ACA / ACCA qualification with 1+ year PQE;
  • Experience in quarterly / annual management accounts preparation through to consolidation across multiple  jurisdictions  extremely desirable;
  • Strong foundation  in financial accounting;
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage  immediately  across a variety of teams; and
  • Ability to work on own initiative as part of a growing finance team and company overall.
