Vacancy ID : 038844 Closing Date : 16-Dec-2025 12 : 00 Vacancy : 038844 - DESIGN+ Gateway Business Development Manager Contract : Specified Purpose - 1 year Salary : €88,231 (Senior Management salary scale, point 1) The DESIGN+ Gateway based at SETU's Carlow Campus is part of a nationwide network of 17 Gateways, supported by Enterprise Ireland's Technology Gateway Programme whose objective is to deliver technology solutions for Irish industry ( ). The DESIGN+ Gateway provides technology solutions in Applied Design for the close-to-market needs of Irish industry in the Engineering, ICT & Software and Bio Life Science sectors and acts as a portal to wider expertise on a national level through the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Network. The Gateway Manager will be responsible for the operational management, business development and industry collaboration activity of the DESIGN+ Gateway. They will be responsible for promoting, securing and successfully delivering on the targeted level of industrial collaborative projects. The role will involve managing the industrial engagement process with Irish industry through new business development and working closely with SETU's Centres of Research and Enterprise (COREs) in engineering, ICT & software and bio-life Sciences, to develop and implement strategies to further progress DESIGN+ competencies through delivering world class solutions for industry. The DESIGN+ Gateway Manager will report to the Vice President Research, Innovation and Impact. The Design + Gateway Manager will provide progress reports to Enterprise Ireland and the Industry Steering Committee on the industry engagement performance of the Gateway. #SETUC
