We are hiring aStaff Nurse - Oncology toour Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Full-time / Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Responsibilities To be aware of the practices andpolicies set out by the Hospital and the Department of Health on the safe administration of cytotoxic preparations. To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care, expertise, and knowledge. The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients. To administer chemotherapy according to the protocols as set out by the hospital Cancer Centre. To provide information about treatment and side effects - giving written information as appropriate. Requirements Maintain a current NMBI PIN and be listed on the general division of the NMBI's registry of nurses. Must have two years of experience working in an acute hospital context after registering (at least one year in an oncology setting is preferred). Demonstrate clinical and professional aptitude Possess great communication and interpersonal skills Possess strong IT abilities and be familiar with Microsoft and medical systems Possess an interest in oncology and be prepared to take pertinent classes when needed.
