Accountant

Job Description

Process accounting and financial reporting activities for the UK and Ireland, reporting to the Financial Controller

Manage aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and payments

Contribute to the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations

Support monthly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Irish payroll and tax requirements

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and IT, providing relevant reporting

Reconcile cash accounts and assist in cash forecasting

Enhance internal controls over financial reporting and processes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field

3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including month-end close and general ledger

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, ideally in a medium / large company

Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you’re organized and detail-oriented

An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or experience with ERP systems (especially Oracle) would be an advantage

Experience with Irish payroll reporting, the tech industry (SaaS), or knowledge of the Irish tax system (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax) would also be an advantage

We’re looking for an Accountant to join our team and work closely with the Financial Controller for Ireland on the day-to-day accounting for the local Wix entity. This role is hybrid, working a minimum of 2 days from our Dublin office.

We currently only accept applicants who are located in Ireland and eligible to work full-time in the Republic Of Ireland.
