Meeting and events technical services manager

Key Responsibilities : Technical Management Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand technical requirements; develop detailed technical plans, schematics, and suggest AV / event tech solutions that align with event objectives and budget. Source, install, operate, and maintain all technical equipment, including microphones, soundboards, projectors, screens, lighting, and staging. Research, negotiate, and manage external vendors for AV equipment rentals, software, and specialized services, ensuring quality and safety compliance. Supervise technical setup (load-in), the live event, and breakdown (load-out). Provide real-time troubleshooting and contingency planning. Provide training, set expectations, and uphold a culture of safety and collaboration. Lead risk assessments and ensure technical compliance with safety regulations (e.g., electrical, rigging, fire safety). Conduct debriefs, gather feedback, and document technical performance for continuous improvement. Food & Beverage Management Plan and oversee M&E services in collaboration with chefs, catering teams, or external vendors to meet client preferences and dietary requirements. Work with culinary staff to create menus that align with the event theme, audience, and budget. Ensure smooth and timely food service during events, coordinating between service staff and technical schedules. Manage inventory levels, coordinate deliveries, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality food and beverage items. Ensure all M&E operations comply with health and safety standards, including food handling, storage, and service protocols. Ensure guests receive outstanding service, resolving any M&E-related issues during events promptly and professionally. Forecast and manage the M&E budget alongside technical expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining service standards.
