Staff Nurse -Cardiology

Job Description

We are hiring Staff Nurse -Cardiology into a  Hospital at Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to individuals with cardiac disorders in both acute and post-acute settings.

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, promptly responding to abnormalities.

Assist in cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, pacemaker insertion, and cardiac catheterization.

Administer medications, including cardiac drugs and intravenous infusions, safely and accurately.

Collaborate closely with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.

Ensure compliance with infection prevention and hospital safety protocols.

Support emergency response procedures, including CPR and cardiac arrest management.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with [relevant nursing board – e.g., NMBI / NMC]

Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac or critical care setting preferred

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) desirable

Have 1 year or more experience in an Acute Irish Hospital.

Requirements

Cardiac assessment and monitoring – expertise in observing and interpreting heart rhythms, ECGs, and vital signs Knowledge of cardiac conditions – strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases, treatments, and procedures ECG interpretation – ability to identify arrhythmias and cardiac abnormalities accurately Medication management – safe administration of cardiac drugs, including anticoagulants, beta-blockers, and IV therapies Emergency response skills – proficiency in Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS / ACLS) and managing cardiac emergencies Patient education and support – guiding patients and families on cardiac care, medication, and lifestyle changes
