Senior Medical Physicist

St. Vincent's Private Hospital has a vacancy for a Senior Medical Physicist to provide diagnostic radiology physics, radiation protection and nonionising services to the Hospital. The hospital recently completed a Managed Equipment Service (MES) agreement with Siemens Healthineers for the replacing all it's diagnostic modalities including expansion of services in this area. The Physics department is playing a leading role in this replacement programme that is currently under way. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Scientist who wishes to apply and develop their knowledge and gain valuable experience in the commissioning of state of the art imaging modalities.

Job Location : St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Essential Criteria

The post holder must :

• Hold a first or second class Honours Degree in which Physics was taken as a major subject and Honours obtained in that subject or
• Hold a recognised qualification at least equivalent thereto.
• Possess the requisite knowledge and ability, for proper discharge of the duties of the post.
• Applicants must have a valid Irish working visa.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in the field of medical imaging and / or nonionising radiation.
