Works on the Centralised Dealing Desk (CDD) which is responsible for the trading activities of Irish Life Investment Managers & Setanta Asset Management across the following asset classes : Cash Management, Foreign Exchange, Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Futures and Third Party Funds.
What you will help us to achieve
Equities : the team executes all ILIM and Setanta instructed equity business
Cash Management : for ILA and External clients
Foreign Exchange : execution of FX Forwards and Spot trades in an accurate and timely manner
Derivatives : the team manages all futures and options execution for ILA and external clients
Fixed Income : execution of trades from sovereign, EM debt, Credit and High Yield
Third Party : The team has responsibility for routing Third Party fund trades for execution
Understand and comply with risk management procedures
Work closely with the other team members and build relationships with other business functions and external counterparties
Assist with the ongoing development of the processes and controls used by the team and enhancement of the reporting functions of the team
Work on a rota to ensure provision of service to clients
What you will need to be successful in the role
The role holder will be capable of working in a very dynamic, fast moving area where Dealers have to respond to order flow and market developments as they arise.
They will be highly numerate and have good IT capabilities, especially in MS Excel.
The role holder will be strongly self-motivated and enthusiastic about markets and the investment business.
Experience of credit markets would be an advantage.
They will be capable of working to very tight deadlines and working on a number of different areas as business demands with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role holder will possess advanced knowledge of a specific professional / technical discipline, typically gained through advanced education, combined with some relevant investment experience.
