We are currently hiring CNM2- Endoscopy to join a reputed hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide professional and clinical leadership that promotes efficiency, innovation, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement within the Endoscopy Unit.
Lead and participate in internal and external audits and accreditation processes (e.g., JAG, JCI, HIQA) to ensure compliance with best practice standards.
Manage staff rosters to ensure an appropriate skill mix and adequate coverage of all Endoscopy lists, allocating resources effectively in collaboration with the Clinical Facilitator and CNM1.
Empower and support staff through effective communication, regular feedback, and ensuring participation in all mandatory and developmental training.
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and infection control standards while delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.
Supervise and maintain professional standards, oversee performance appraisals, and foster a positive, respectful work culture.
Maintain accurate staff attendance and leave records, ensure stock control, manage equipment maintenance, and oversee unit-level documentation and reporting.
Promote multidisciplinary teamwork, liaise effectively with medical, nursing, and support staff, and ensure open, constructive communication across the unit.
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, medications policy, and hygiene standards while proactively maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay updated with best practices in Endoscopy Nursing, support implementation of evidence-based improvements, and deputise for the Endoscopy Manager when required
Requirements
Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible for NMBI registration.
Knowledge of JCI, JAG, or a similar accreditation system.
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last 9 years.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the specialist area of Endoscopy, or in Day Surgery, Theatre, Medical, or GI Nursing.
Proven experience working within a multi-professional healthcare environment.
Completion of a formal, recognised post-registration qualification relevant to the role (e.g., Management), or willingness to undertake same within an agreed timeframe.
Basic proficiency in IT systems and documentation tools.
Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development.
