Finance Officer - Co. Kildare ( 9-12 month contract)

Position : Finance Officer Reports to : Financial Accountant Salary : €50,000 - €60,000 9-12 Month Contract Location : Monasterevin, Co, Kildare (Hybrid working after training) ________________________________________ The Finance Officer will work closely with the Financial Accountant and other Managers within the Finance Department. They will provide proactive support in the administration of an effective and efficient system of financial cost control in their designated areas of responsibility, while ensuring appropriate and accurate accounting procedures are maintained. ________________________________________ Duties and Responsibilities (The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive) Financial Reporting Support the finance department by ensuring timely access to financial information, including analysis and commentary, for the finance team and Regional Directors. Liaise with the Financial Accountant and Finance Business Partner to review financial information and meet reporting deadlines. Prepare monthly management accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations for review. Assist in the preparation of the annual Service Level Agreement (SLA). Support budget preparation and import of annual budgets. Financial Analysis Prepare and present relevant reports and financial analysis to the Financial Accountant and other Finance Managers. Assist in identifying variances to budget / forecast and spotting trends to support Regional Directors in financial monitoring and control. Manage invoicing and posting of relevant income streams and external funding, ensuring accurate recording of income received. Projects & Process Improvements Support the finance team in implementing and embedding process improvements and changes to financial procedures. Contribute to the implementation of new finance systems, as directed by the Director of Finance. Provide cross-cover support in other finance roles as required. Audit The Finance Officer will support and participate in both internal and external audit processes. The Person IATI / Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant
