The Role
Tesco Ireland is seeking to appoint a Line Manager who will have responsibility for supporting and leading a department and a team to deliver the best shop for customers.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and coach your team to deliver great service, standards and product availability for customers.
Deliver all key performance indicators for your department.
Lead a team, making decisions that support staff in doing their jobs.
Deliver the training plan, ensuring colleagues receive quality training, are validated to perform their roles, and have an up-to-date training card.
Ensure processes, routines and systems for your departments are completed accurately and on time.
Plan seasonal, trade-driving and promotional activities to maximise sales, impact and presentation.
Responsible for safe and legal routines for the departments, with plans to address identified issues.
Ensure colleagues understand the importance of the "what" and the "how"; set objectives, conduct regular reviews, and support career development with a live PDP.
Provide regular coaching and feedback to improve team skills across the store.
Coach the team to address behavioural issues and improve the customer shopping experience.
Create an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth.
Role model a culture where customers love to shop and colleagues love to work.

You will be responsible for
Always put the customer first in all actions.
Know your customers and serve them with pride.
Ensure products and services are available for customers at all times.
Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
Keep the shop floor and back areas clean and tidy.
Follow department routines and processes learned in training.
Follow all company policies and Health & Safety routines.
Be prepared to support colleagues in other departments when needed.
You will need
Experience
Must have previous management experience.
For the Line Manager role, demonstrated track record in delivering right outcomes for customers and colleagues.
Adaptable and agile thinking; able to deliver key objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Become the go-to person for department queries and influence at senior levels.
Retail experience is preferred.
