We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our clinical team at Saint Doolaghs Park House Dublin 17, D17 CY54. The successful candidate will deliver both individual and group sessions using music therapy techniques to support movement, communication, cognition, social engagement, emotional wellbeing, and overall rehabilitation for clients with neurological needs.
This is a part time role for 4 hours two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Care Planning
Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments, including detailed documentation, to identify each client's abilities, challenges, and therapeutic objectives.
Apply music-based interventions to support non-musical therapeutic goals, informed by neuroscientific research and a person-centred approach.
2. One-to-One Music Therapy
3. Group-Based Music Therapy
Lead group music therapy sessions, typically involving 6-8 participants, where a group format is clinically appropriate.
Develop a supportive and engaging group environment that encourages connection, participation, and collective therapeutic progress.
4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration and Administration
Collaborate with health and social care professionals to provide coordinated and holistic client support.
Maintain clear, accurate clinical records, including progress notes and outcome-based reports.
Contribute to service development and planning to ensure effective use of time and resources across partner services.
Commit to ongoing professional development and adherence to best-practice standards in music therapy and Neurologic Music Therapy.
