Job description

Lotus Care provides a range of respite, residential and support services to Children & Adults with intellectual disabilities in a homely and comfortable community setting. We aim to empower people with the necessary skills to live full and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities.

Role Overview

Reporting to : Person in Charge
Contract Type : Relief
Location of Work : Co. Offaly, Westmeath & Roscommon

Role Responsibilities

Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.

Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.

Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.

Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice

Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.

Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.

Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

Essential Requirements

QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare or equivalent

Hold a full Irish driving license

Prior experience in social care or healthcare

Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations

Excellent verbal and writing skills

Garda Vetting / Police Clearance
