Scope of the Role

The

Sales Executive

will support the hotel's revenue growth by managing the

reactive sales pipeline

and nurturing a portfolio of

key accounts

, while actively assisting the Sales Manager's efforts to drive

proactive business development

This role will also play a valuable part in the

marketing process

, helping to brief in hotel-specific needs and establishing a strong working relationship with the

Group Marketing Team

to ensure effective, on-brand promotional support.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, commercially minded, and confident in balancing a fast-moving workload with strategic input.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

Support the Sales Manager in executing the hotel's annual sales strategy.

Actively contribute to the identification of new business leads and proactive outreach campaigns.

Respond to all inbound / reactive sales enquiries promptly and professionally, with a strong focus on conversion and pipeline hygiene.

Reactive Pipeline & Key Account Management

Manage the reactive sales funnel efficiently, ensuring timely follow-up, quality proposals, and effective use of CRM tools (Salesforce).

Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of key corporate, MICE, group, and leisure clients to drive retention and repeat business.

Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs and tailoring proposals accordingly.

Proactive Sales Support

Assist the Sales Manager in researching new markets, identifying potential clients, and preparing pitch materials.

Attend local networking events or trade shows as required to support proactive sales development.

Marketing Collaboration

Assist the Sales Manager in briefing the Marketing team on assets and content required for Hodson Bay Hotel.

Ensure sales activity aligns with promotional campaigns, brand guidelines, and digital content updates.

Provide insights on client trends and feedback to inform targeted marketing initiatives.

Reporting & CRM

Maintain accurate client records, lead statuses, and communications using Salesforce.

Provide regular reports on sales activity, account status, and market trends.

Monitor performance against KPIs and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Reservations, Events, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for all client bookings.

Collaborate on group bookings, meetings, and events, acting as a client-facing liaison as needed.

    Qualifications & Expertise

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel or hospitality sales.
  • Track record in handling both reactive and proactive sales activities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce an advantage).
  • Work Environment

  • Flexibility required for occasional evening / weekend work depending on business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required for trade events or client meetings.
