position available within our Research and Development ("
Tax Credit and grant incentives group.
The role would provide the successful candidates with an opportunity to work with some of the most technologically innovative companies in Ireland across a wide range of sectors.
The successful candidates will have 2+ years experience in R&D Tax Credit or grant services.
They will be tasked with project management and will be involved in engaging with clients to ascertain the potential eligibility of their activities for the purposes of the R&D Tax Credit Regime and grant incentives.
This role will suit candidates who enjoy technical discussions, scientific writing, and are confident in their ability to analyse and clearly communicate complex information.
The position will further provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to develop an understanding of the financial and technical aspects of business, as well as the impact of the R&D Tax Credit Regime and grant incentives on businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Assistant Manager
is involved in all aspects of an R&D Tax Credit and grant applications / claims.
This includes involvement in :
The examination of client operations and processes to determine which qualify for these incentives, developing the appropriate methodology to claim those activities and the methods to maximise those incentives
The planning, organisation and execution of the technical portion of engagements, including interviewing of technical and financial personnel
The assessment of R&D expenditures, time and activities involved within all of the projects
The preparation of all necessary technical documentation as required by legislation, Revenue Guidelines, and awarding bodies
Working with the client to help them develop their systems and know-how to assist in making future claims
Client assistance in certain discussions / audits that may arise with the Revenue Commissioners
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum 2-3 years' R&D experience in the area of R&D Tax Credits or Grant services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines, 2.1 result preferably
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
Demonstrated report writing and presentation skills
Ability to quickly absorb and understand numerous technical concepts and translate these into technical reports
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Advanced skills in MS Office environment (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook), familiarity with the MS Office 365 suite would be advantageous
