As an Engineering Manager, you will be taking a leading role in the definition and deployment of processes and methodologies in the field of Digital IP Design.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a high-performing team of digital design engineers by fostering technical excellence, setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring ongoing skill development to meet organizational objectives
Oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality digital IPs for automotive microcontrollers, adhering to stringent automotive and functional safety standards and meeting rigorous quality and reliability requirements
Manage all phases of the digital design lifecycle, including architecture definition, RTL coding, synthesis, timing closure, and design verification
Drive innovation in IP design by incorporating the latest methodologies, tools, and technologies for efficiency and performance optimization
Collaborate with system architects, verification teams, physical design teams, and firmware / software teams to ensure seamless integration of IPs into the microcontroller ecosystem
Proactively identify and mitigate risks during the design process, ensuring adherence to milestones and budgets, while serving as the primary point of contact for IP-related requirements, risks, and status updates
Provide clear and regular communication on progress, challenges, and resource needs
Your Profile / Qualifications
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
At least 10 years of experience in digital design for complex semiconductor products, with a strong focus on microcontroller architectures and IP development
Understanding of digital design flows and tools, including front-end design and verification tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor)
Proven leadership experience, managing teams of design engineers in a high-performance environment
Experience working within an SoC architecture
Awareness of IP-level verification environments and methodologies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to easily transmit your ideas / proposals in both verbal and / or written forms and the capacity to influence others
Fluency in English (mandatory)
Nice to have
Microcontroller knowledge and automotive application know-how
Knowledge of automotive-grade requirements, including functional safety and reliability standards such as ISO 26262
