Oranger Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Project Planner to join our clients construction delivery team on a major project in the Cork region.
This is a site-based role, where you'll play a key part in programme development, coordination, and progress tracking across multiple construction phases.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager and site leadership, you'll take ownership of construction schedules across CSA disciplines and support integration with MEP planning to ensure the smooth, coordinated delivery of the overall project.
Responsibilities : Develop and maintain project schedules in line with contract requirements and programme milestones Monitor and track progress on site across multiple work packages, identifying and flagging delays or risks Liaise with discipline leads and subcontractors to collect, validate, and integrate scheduling data Coordinate updates from area-based planners, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all schedule inputs Review and refine planning outputs before issuing externally - ensuring quality, logic, and clarity Analyse project performance using tools such as S-curves, histograms, critical path reports and lookaheads Generate regular reports on progress, variances, and forecasts for internal use and client review Support short-term planning and "last planner" activities with the site team Present schedule updates and planning methodology to internal stakeholders and external clients Contribute to risk assessments and identify areas where programme recovery is needed Collaborate with the commercial, engineering, and MEP teams to maintain alignment in project delivery Requirements : A third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or another relevant discipline 4-5 years' experience in a project planning role, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor Hands-on experience working with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Solid understanding of construction sequencing, CSA works, M&E integration, and fit-out stages Proven ability to track, analyse, and report on large-scale programme progress Strong communication and interpersonal skills - confident working with multidisciplinary teams and clients Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability and a practical, solutions-focused mindset Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment
