Our broad line of vascular devicesManufactured in Clonmelincludes vessel closure, endovascular and coronary technologies–These devices are designed to treatheart attack, stroke, critical limb ischemia and other serious vascular conditions.

Abbott Vascular Clonmel is the largest Abbott Manufacturing facility in Ireland focusing on both manufacturing and research and development of next generation vascular products.

Key responsibilities :

Design and developautomation systemsand processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed automation solutions.

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning ofautomation systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment and software.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance ofautomation systems.

Preparetechnical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance procedures, and project reports.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and industry trends.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience inautomation engineering, with a proven track record of successful automation projects in the medical device industry

Strong knowledge ofautomation systems,PLC programming, HMI development, andSCADAsystems.

Proficiency inCAD softwareand other relevant engineering tools.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Project management certification (e.g.,PMP) is a plus.
