Role Overview:
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for a key section of the kitchen (Indian Cuisine). You’ll ensure efficient service, high quality food output, consistent presentation, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver first-class takeaway and dine-in dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for a key section of the kitchen (Indian Cuisine). You’ll ensure efficient service, high quality food output, consistent presentation, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver first-class takeaway and dine-in dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present Indian cuisine and curries in your allocated section to high standards.
- Maintain and monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation according to our brand standards.
- Assist in stock control, ordering and inventory management in your section.
- Ensure your station is clean, organised, and adheres to hygiene (HACCP) and safety protocols.
- Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff and kitchen assistants.
- Support other kitchen areas during peak service periods (especially takeaway rushes).
- Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent takeaway service: e.g., packaging, speedy turnaround, maintaining food temperature and quality.
- Monitor food waste and cost control in your section.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Chef de Partie or equivalent role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene standards and health & safety in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during high volume takeaway/delivery periods.
- Excellent communication skills, strong team orientation and flexibility in working hours (evenings, weekends).
- Good organisational skills and an eye for detail in presentation, cleanliness, and service speed.
