Responsibilities
Conduct regular maintenance checks of guestrooms, ensuring all fixtures and fittings are fully operational and meet our quality standards.
This includes door locks, electric card inserts, lighting, TVs, kettles, trouser presses, plug points, window handles, curtains, mirrors, carpets, and hairdryers.
Maintain bathroom facilities to ensure all lights, sockets, bath / shower valves, grout, tiles, paintwork, taps, seals, mirrors, and doors are in excellent condition.
Manage and prioritize the daily maintenance schedule efficiently to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
Perform general maintenance tasks around the hotel, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Collaborate with outside contractors where necessary to complete specialist repairs.
Assist with stock control related to maintenance supplies, ensuring proper ordering, receipt, and secure handling.
Uphold excellent customer service by maintaining the hotel's high standards and communicating effectively with management and guests.
Comply strictly with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff, guests, and contractors.
Qualifications
23 years' experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a hotel or similar environment.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A motivated team player with excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and attend to urgent maintenance issues promptly.
