Main Responsibilities :
The management of conference, events, private dining business from the enquiry stage through to conversion, including client liaison and function sheet preparation to client follow up / feedback and payment.
To achieve maximum potential revenue for the areas and to meet budget.
To ensure a consistent flow of information within the office and amongst other departments within the hotel.
Processing of reservations, cancellations and modifications promptly.
Handle guest enquiries relating to the hotel including reservations, dining, and general queries in a competent and efficient manner.
Respond to all Guests / prospective guests enquiries by email in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
To be able to describe accurately all the bedrooms, services and facilities in the hotel and be fully familiar with all room rates available as well as rates of all services / facilities that can be offered.
Proactively sell bedrooms at the best rate possible, ensuring that all opportunities to achieve upsell e.g. upgrades, dinner, activities etc. are maximized.
To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the Rooms department.
Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special events.
To answer the switchboard in a friendly & engaging manner, directing calls appropriately
