PTSB has embarked on a significant programme of Payments Transformation aimed at forming the Bank's long-term vision and strategy to offer best-in-class payments services to our customers and foresees an increase in consumer demand in this area. PTSB considers payments to be a critical core competency to enable the Bank to deliver sustainable revenue growth over the next 3-10 years. The Bank is looking to anchor and deepen its relationships with new and existing customers through value added customer propositions built on top of a modern Payments infrastructure. The successful candidate will support automating and streamlining deployments to the Payments platform, monitoring, and operational aspects of the Payments solution running on OpenShift, with a particular emphasis on the FIS payment Engine and IBM MQ. Responsibilities : Gain credibility and establish good working relationships with the business, other teams within IT, Group IT / IT Services and 3rd parties. Deliver change to agreed schedules, quality and cost. Managing and automating deployments of workloads on OpenShift including MQ and FIS. Building deployment pipelines and running deployment scripts Identify and control risks in advance and make suggestions to team about how to mitigate against risks. Maintain awareness of all compliance, regulatory & legal directives and support development of approaches to minimise risk and potential damage to our reputation. Requirements : 5+ years experience in a similar role strong skills in DevOps tooling, scripting, and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Strong People skills to collaborate with existing team members and share knowledge across the team. You will come from a software development / engineering background possessing a strong understanding of development. You will have experience in implementation and support of CI / CD processes and associated technologies which that underpin CICD pipelines enabling release management. You will have a proven experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement through automation and process. A strong appreciation of `team? with the ability to work with colleagues across teams of different ability, culture and priority to deliver results as one Good problem-solving abilities with the ability to direct solution determination and implementation of effective and permanent solutions - `fix it for the future? mindset Experience of cyber security management and its delivery within the context of CI / CD and automation services; patch management, certificate management. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. This is a permanent role based in Cork. (Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland) Is this you?
