Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a compassionate and empathetic Agency Healthcare Assistant to work in care of the elderly for a private Nursing Home in Wexford. Working shifts are 12hrs and we offer both day and night shifts Day shifts - €14ph Night shifts - €17ph Requirements of this Healthcare Assistant job QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare / Care Skills and Elderly Care or Equivalent Valid certificates for Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling. Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card. Strong knowledge of HIQA standards. Undergo Garda Vetting. Responsibilities of this Healthcare Assistant job Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting / assisting residents. Assist residents with their personal care needs. Assist residents who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided. Assist and support other staff. Carry out tasks as directed.
