Care Network Ireland are recruiting Healthcare Assistants for block hours to support unaccompanied minors living in Tusla residential care facilities in Limerick.
You'll play a vital role in promoting each young person's safety, wellbeing, integration, and independence through compassionate, trauma-informed care.
What You'll Do
- Support daily living: Assist with routines, meals, personal care, and household tasks-helping young people build confidence and independence.
- Offer emotional support: Build trusting relationships and encourage positive behaviours and self-esteem.
- Contribute to care plans: Work with Social Care Workers and managers to deliver individualised care and support goals.
- Encourage learning & growth: Support school attendance, hobbies, and independent living skills.
- Advocate for young people: Listen, communicate, and ensure their voices are always heard.
- Be part of a supportive team: Work closely with colleagues and professionals to provide consistent, quality care.
- Stay calm in challenges: Respond with empathy and professionalism in all situations.

What You'll Need
- QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or a related field.
- Experience supporting children or young people
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Valid work visa for Ireland.
- Experience working in residential, education, or disability services is desirable.
