Job Description
We are now looking for
Engineering Technicians (
4x Shift Cycle
on a permanent basis to join a medical device company in South Dublin.
Reporting to the Shift Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment and modification of all plant and production equipment, as well as the fabrication of new and replacement equipment.
As
Engineering Shift Technician
, you will also be involved in trouble shooting and continuous improvement initiatives and ensure smooth operation of the plant.
Main responsibilities will include :
Continuously improve the plant operations.
Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping to ensure area, machines and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Correct and / or report unsafe conditions and other faults.
About you
The ideal candidate would have good knowledge of the mechanical and electronic systems associated with high volume manufacturing equipment and hold a Third Level Qualification or National Craft Certificate together with additional specialised training and experience.
Relevant industrial experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment is crucial for this role.
You must have the ability to apply a scientific approach to problem solving, blending analytical and experimental skills and to maximise productivity and yields.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
You must have relevant PC skills.
The company operates 24 hours / day, 7 days / week.
This is a 4-Cycle Shift Pattern role (Days and Nights).
You must be willing to work 2 x 12-hour days, followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 days off - Onwards.
