Systems administrator

Job Description : Our client in the technology services sector is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain their core IT infrastructure.

This is a permanent role based in Dublin with hybrid working available.

Job Responsibilities : Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network systems.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and patch management processes are followed.

Provide technical support to internal teams.

Experience Required : 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server and / or Linux environments.

Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation.

Desirable Skills : Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, or Python).

ITIL awareness and service management experience.

Educational Requirements : Degree in IT or related discipline.

Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware certifications an advantage.
