Pathology Technician- Histology An opportunity has arisen in our Laboratory department for a Pathology Technician Histology. This is a full time, permanent contract. Purpose of the Post Perform routine work to the highest professional standards in the histopathology laboratory, as determined by the Group Laboratory Manager, Senior Laboratory Staff and Consultants, limited to : Specimen transfer Embedding tissue Microtomy Special stains Case layout Sample Referral Equipment Maintenance Block & Slide Filing as applicable Professional qualifications, registration, essential skills & knowledge. Candidates must : Possess BSc in Biomedical or Biological Sciences, preferably with a practical background in Histopathology Possess at least 1 years experience in a medical laboratory since qualifying with a science degree The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and awareness and sensitivity towards patients needs.
