Health and Safety Manager A Health and Safety Manager with 5+ years of civil engineering experience is required for a major infrastructure project in Cork. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Ideal for a proactive Health and Safety Manager who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Role : Implement and monitor site-specific health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Conduct site audits and inspections and safety walkdowns to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards. Report and investigate all accidents, incidents, near-misses, and hazards ensuring follow-up actions are completed. Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and staff training. Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvement Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues promptly. Ensure proper use of PPE, machinery, and equipment in line with statutory requirements. Requirements : 5+ years experience in a similar Health and Safety Manager role Experience in civil engineering or construction NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or equivalent health & safety qualification Knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices in construction Strong IT skills and experience using construction-related digital tools and MS Word / Excel Strong communicator with proven leadership and motivational skills Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management Full clean driving license Right to work in ROI Package : Salary circa €75k-€85k Great benefits package Company vehicle / travel allowance If you are a Health and Safety Manager considering a career move, please feel to send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion.
