Director of Services

St. Gabriels is a voluntary organisation, with multiple voluntary and statutory partner agencies, providing a range of services to children, young people and adults with disabilities, and their families in the Mid-west region. St Gabriels is the lead agency fortwo Childrens Network Disability Teams; Treehouse Team covering Community Health Care Network 6 and South City Team which covers Community Healthcare Network 7. St Gabriels operates a Special School and provides both Residential and Day Respite. St Gabriels also operates two social enterprises Orthotics and Hydrotherapy - which further augment the needs of our service users while developing strong links within the community. We wish to recruit the following highly motivated and enthusiastic staff member to join the Senior Management team in the following role : Director of Services ( 2yr Fixed Term) Application form, job description and job specification are available by clicking Apply below. The DOS will lead, manage, co-ordinate and support the ongoing development of all services within St. Gabriels Foundation. The post holder will be responsible for the planning, development, managing and reviewing of services in line with the identified needs in the area aligned to St Gabriels Strategic Plan and will be responsible for day to day duties as allocated by the CEO. The successful candidate must have : A level 8 degree in clinical / health / management or related disciplines relevant to the role AND Minimum of 5 years senior / middle managementexperience working in the health, social care, disability or similar services with a track record in successfully managing and developing staff teams and significant financial resources AND Applicants must have at least five years satisfactory experience in a multidisciplinary setting working at a senior level and must have experience of working with people with disabilities and understanding of National Policy and trends in the area of disability.
