Employment Type : Long term contract min 12 months

Work Location : This role will require the candidate to be in the office or on a client site to a combined 3 days a week. These days will be flexible but also work requirement dependent

P ay : €75-€100 Per Hour Rate

Experience : 8+ years

Visa : EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our Client is one of Ireland's leading EPCm consultancies with offices in Dublin and Cork.

A Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor is required to join the team based in Sandyford, Dublin to work on Life Science Projects. Office based role with travel to clients sites as required.

Pre-Contract responsibilities would include :

Preparing capital cost estimates,

Assisting in tendering procedures and contract arrangements,

Prepare pricing documents for tender packages

During the tendering phase responsibilities would include :

Providing advice on tendering procedures

Draft instructions to tenderers

Development of tender evaluation criteria

Drafting of PQQ questionnaires

Handling queries during tender period

Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions

Negotiation with tenderers

Post Contract duties would include :

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects on the project.

Preparation of Interim Valuations.

Preparation of monthly Cost Reporting.

Client and Contractor meetings.

Negotiation and agreement of Variations.

Review and assessment of Contract Claims.

Agreement of Final Accounts

Requirements

Quantity Surveying degree

8+ years’ Experience in the Construction Industry.

Life Science Project experience required.

Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others.

Must be commercially aware, flexible and have ambition to progress within the organisation.

Drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of the project.

Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.

Be capable of working independently and directly with client team
