Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

My Client are a very well established multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy who are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office.

The successful Electrical Engineer will be a part of a busy team providing Design, Project Management and Construction Supervision of building projects across a range of pharmaceutical, healthcare, process and food industry developments.

Knowledge & Skills

The successful Electrical Engineer will have proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.

Expert knowledge and experience in the following Electrical design areas : Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV / LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS.

Prepare schematic and co-ordinated layout drawings using both 2D AutoCAD and / or Revit for 3D modelling.

Preparation of schedules, data sheets and specifications

Carry out site surveys

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates

Preparation of technical reports, as required

Assist in the preparation of contract documentation

Manage health and safety requirements relevant to the work being undertaken

Other tasks, as may be required to support the delivery of projects

Education & Experience

The successful Electrical Engineer will have a Minimum Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering – Level 7 or 8

Minimum of 3 years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.

Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

Commercial sector knowledge / experience a strong advantage.

Be able to take direction from more Senior Staff and work as part of a team
