Principal Psychologist About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Principal Psychologist to provide strategic clinical leadership within a Childrens Disability Network Team. This is a pivotal role focused on delivering high-quality, integrated psychological services for children with complex needs and their families, within a multidisciplinary framework. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of psychology services across interdisciplinary teams. Provide clinical supervision and support to psychology staff. Drive continuous quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives. Develop and implement clinical pathways and outcome measurement tools. Support recruitment, retention, and workforce planning strategies. Coordinate student placements and contribute to the development of assistant and apprenticeship roles. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery. Contribute to service planning, policy development, and strategic initiatives. Essential Requirements A recognised honours degree in Psychology. A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology. Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience in professional psychology, including at least 3 years in a senior role. Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessment and intervention for children with complex needs. Proven leadership, management, and service development experience. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, clinical governance, and risk management.
