EPS Group have exciting opportunities for energetic and enthusiastic people to join our Operations team as a vacancy has arisen for an on-call operator (evenings and weekends) in a wastewater treatment plant. The position will be based in the West Clare area.
The role requires a flexible person who is self-motivated, a self-starter who manages their time well. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a good command of the English language. The ability to communicate well at all levels within the company and clients.
Responsibilities :
- A mechanical and electrical background is preferred and some wastewater process experience would be beneficial
- Routine operational duties are a basic function of this role
- General duties both inside and outside in all weathers
- Process monitoring and completing record sheets and taking process samples
- Heavy manual work may be required from time to time
- The role requires work indoors and outside in all weather conditions
- Role ranges from process control, operation of equipment and confined space work and procedures
- General housekeeping activities such as cleaning and washing plant and areas down and grounds maintenance also required
- Awareness of need to follow formal procedures and safe working methods essential
- Flexibility with hours of work is vital for this role including evenings, weekend work and bank holiday work
- The role requires participation a regular stand bay and call out rota
