Senior Engineer (Construction)

An industry-leading construction company is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team on a long-term residential project in Galway.

This role is a two-year fixed term contract and offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of site engineering functions and mentor a growing technical team on a high-quality build.

Responsibilities : Review technical drawings and documentation; raise and track RFIs as needed.

Actively participate in Design Team Meetings and ensure resolution of outstanding technical issues.

Coordinate subcontractor works and manage commissioning timelines.

Ensure subcontractor and supplier output aligns with quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Inspect ongoing works Lead the implementation of DMS (e.g., Zutec) and BCAR compliance across site teams.

Liaise with public stakeholders including Irish Water, ESB, and local authorities.

Chair site coordination meetings and foster clear communication between all project stakeholders.

Promote value engineering and challenge design to improve efficiency.

Requirements : HETAC Level 8 qualification in Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years experience in a senior engineering role on medium-to-large scale construction projects.

Strong technical knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, QA / QC systems, and construction methodologies.

Proven ability to meet time, quality, and programme delivery targets.
