Role Description The Mechanical Fitter will be an integral part of the maintenance team with responsibility for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance and troubleshooting of the generating plant and equipment to help ensure that Stations operate to strict efficiency, availability, environmental and commercial standards.
The successful candidate will work with a wide variety of mechanical equipment and processes from valves up to and including large rotating equipment.
They will be required to work autonomously, be flexible and be a self-starter with the ability to provide support, on a full or part time basis, to other teams and projects as required by station management.
The successful candidate will be required on occasions to have flexible working hours and be available for callouts.? Key Responsibilities Perform all aspects of hands-on planned and reactive mechanical maintenance fitting activities in a heavy mechanical work environment, in accordance with site policies and procedures Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS Preparation and review of task specific Method Statements and Risk Assessment Carry out authorised roles under the safety rules as required (Safe Systems of Work) Qualifications 2+ years hands-on mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent Full driving license Experience working on valves, pumps, gearboxes, installation, and removal of heavy plant equipment Experience and technical knowledge of power station mechanical maintenance procedures or mechanical maintenance practices in similar heavy process industry Ability to follow maintenance procedures Strong safety culture and ability to work in a team environment Why Work With Our Client?
