Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing building services team.

This role involves leading mechanical design across large-scale projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Projects include mission-critical facilities, hospitals, commercial developments, residential schemes, and large-scale mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities Lead full mechanical design for projects from concept to completion Provide quality control and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards Manage project teams and collaborate across disciplines to achieve project goals Represent the company in client and contractor meetings, surveys, and site visits Monitor costs, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery Mentor junior and intermediate engineers to support professional growth Education & Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartership desirable) 6+ years building services design consultancy experience Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, and BMS Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessments, and BIM advantageous Proven track record delivering projects in healthcare, data centres, commercial, or large-scale developments Skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to prioritise multiple projects and manage deadlines Commercial awareness and client-focused mindset Collaborative approach with solid understanding of other engineering disciplines Benefits €65K - €75K Flexible working arrangements where applicable Performance-based bonuses and annual reviews Professional development and educational support Health and wellbeing benefits Career progression opportunities with exposure to high-profile projects Skills : Senior Mechanical Design
