VP / AVP Legal - Dublin Global Aircraft Lessor

We are working with

a gobal aircraft leasing client

to seek a VP / AVP Legal in its Dublin headquarters.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the aviation leasing industry, taking on complex, cross-border legal work within a dynamic and collaborative team.

Role Overview

In this role, you will provide legal leadership on a wide range of aircraft leasing transactions, guiding the business on critical contractual, regulatory, and financing matters.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, ensuring transactions are delivered efficiently and with strong risk management.

Core Responsibilities

Take ownership of international aircraft leasing and financing transactions.

Advise on operating leases, acquisitions, disposals, and related financing structures.

Provide direction on issues such as lease compliance, restructurings, defaults, and repossessions.

Oversee the engagement and management of external legal counsel.

Contribute to wider strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Qualified lawyer with 3+ years' PQE.

Background in aircraft leasing law from a major law firm or leasing company.

Proven ability to foster strong working relationships with airlines, financiers, OEMs, MROs, and other key stakeholders.

Strong commercial judgment and ability to influence at senior levels.
