We are Hiring Senior Oncology Physiotherapist for our Hospital client in Dublin.
Job type : Permanent / Full-time
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat cancer patients at various phases (pre-treatment, during treatment, and post-treatment).
- Based on the patient's goals and assessment, create customized physiotherapy care plans.
- Prior to surgery or treatment, provide prehabilitation to help patients get ready both mentally and physically.
- Improve functional mobility, strength and endurance training, and post-operative healing as part of your post-treatment rehabilitation.
- During palliative or end-of-life care, assist patients with their comfort, pain management, and dignity preservation.
- Make use of evidence-based methods like functional training, breathing exercises, manual therapy, and exercise prescription.
- Serve as the multidisciplinary oncology and physiotherapy teams' clinical leader or specialist.
- Students, assistants, and junior physiotherapists should be supported, guided, and supervised.
- Lead or take part in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans with nutritionists, occupational therapists, nurses, and oncologists, among others.
Requirements
Physiotherapy BSC or an equivalent degree.Own a CORU registration or be qualified to obtain one.Possess membership in or be qualified to join the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.Possess three years of postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant field.Showcase pertinent continuing professional development in oncology physiotherapy.Possess the skills and information necessary to perform the job properly.Accredited Training in LymphoedemaKnowledge of shoulder dysfunction and breast surgery rehabilitationExercise recommendations for oncologyBenefits
