Staff Canteen Assistant

The Royal Marine Hotel is looking for a positive and reliable individual to join our team as a Staff Canteen Assistant.

This role is suited to someone with strong communication skills, good organisation and basic culinary ability, who takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for staff.

This is a hands-on role that requires consistency, attention to detail and a genuine interest in improving the staff experience.

Job Description This is a hands-on role focused on the daily running of the staff canteen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, food presentation and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

Over time, the role will expand to include more ownership of the space, creative input into food offerings and involvement in improvement projects.

Work schedule : days / week Key Responsibilities : Cleaning and resetting the canteen Stocking food, drinks, and utensils Presenting hot and cold meals during service Managing the salad station and healthy snack options Gathering staff feedback and supporting menu improvements Supporting hygiene, equipment care, and atmosphere enhancements The Ideal Candidate : Knowledge of HACCP policies and procedures.

Strong organizational and time management skills with high efficiency.

Ability to work independently as well as works well with others.

Excellent communication skills, with a good level of English.

Must be professional, well presented, friendly and reliable.
