General Duties
To ensure that individual designated areas of responsibility within the Care Facility are cleaned as per specific cleaning schedules.
To ensure that cleaning products and utensils are neatly stored in designated areas (i.e. on individual trolleys)
To assume responsibility for the safe handling of buffing machines and to ensure that pads are washed after use.
To ensure that all used floor cloths are returned to Laundry for steeping / washing each day.
To report any defects of faults with equipment used.
To ensure that the utmost care is taken in the use of equipment, especially hovers.
Clear blocked toilets.
To mop up spillages as they occur so as to prevent the risk of accident.
To always place an appropriate warning sign such as "Wet Floor" when spillage occurs.
Replenish all cleaning products when required
Re-stock cleaning trolleys on completion of your day.
Comply with Policies / Procedures
Maintain familiarity and comply with all Care Facility policies and procedures in relation to your duty as Domestic Staff.
Comply with all safety regulations in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and maintain a hazard-free environment.
Report all incidents and accidents involving self to the Matron.
Code of Conduct
Maintain appropriate appearance and behaviour in keeping with Care Facility policy.
Maintain good personal hygiene practices.
Ongoing Meetings
Attend meetings, as and when directed.
This list is not exhaustive. Domestic Staff will be required to perform such other duties as appropriate to the post, as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Matron or such other designated person.
