Hours :   16 hours per week

Contract Type :  Temporary 2 year contract

Grade :   Hospital Chaplain

Salary :   €26,205 - €32,015, pro rata salary based on the whole time equivalent of the Hospital Chaplain Grade (Code 6404) of €57,325 - €70,034.

LauraLynn is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Spiritual and Pastoral Care Practitioner to support children, families, and staff through their Lauralynn journey. The role involves building relationships, providing spiritual and pastoral support, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. This is a part time role for a fixed term period of 2 years, with a view to developing the service during the term, and making recommendations for future development in line with the organisation as it grows and develops.

Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following :

  • Three units of Clinical Pastoral Education in an approved centre, or equivalent, or
  • A recognised Pastoral Care qualification, or
  • Certification / accreditation as a Healthcare Chaplain by the Healthcare Chaplaincy Board / Chaplaincy Accreditation Board to be eligible).
  • Minimum of 1 year of providing spiritual and pastoral care in relevant settings such as education, community, acute care, and post death situations.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families.
