Description AXA Ireland are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team. We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our Insurance Financial Reporting team to assist in the delivery of internal and external financial reporting and controls. We are looking for someone proactive and capable of working both within the team and independently to successfully delivery on objectives within strict deadlines. In this role, you will support the delivery of financial reporting deliverables, ensure robust controls, and contribute to ongoing projects. You'll work majority time of your week away from home, and our Dublin Head Office. What you'll be doing : Assist in compiling financial reports in compliance with regulatory and internal standards, eg SAP, IFRS. Support the team in delivering accurate and timely reporting deliverables. Assist in data analysis, reconciliation, and audit preparation. Contribute to process improvement projects, automation initiatives, and system upgrades related to financial reporting. Support the development, maintenance, and testing of internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure reporting integrity. Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting procedures, controls, and compliance activities. Stay updated with regulatory changes impacting insurance financial reporting. Qualifications Qualified accountant and member of one of the following accounting bodies ACCA, ACA, CIMA. 2+ year's experience in a Finance Function or similar environment; with experience in internal controls or audit beneficial. Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail essential, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs. Organised and structured approach to execution and delivery of objectives. The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team and to deliver on tight deadlines, with a positive attitude. Proven ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff across numerous areas. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
