We are looking for a Security Officer with corporate experience who can step up into a relief role as a Security Agent.

This is a dynamic role in Dublin1, where you will be part of a corporate security team and will have the opportunity to uplift into a relief agent role.

Hours of work

The shifts are 12 hours (across 7 days) 3 days one week and 4 shifts the next week when operating as a Security Officer. As relief agent, the shift pattern will change to 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. Some additional flexibility may be required occasionally. Minimum 40 hours per week.

What will I be doing?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Ensure visitors are welcomed and assisted and directed to their host in line with procedures.
  • Being a first point of contact and being fully knowledgeable on the geography of the building and the locality and be able to assist with any queries in this area.
  • Report all unusual circumstances and situations and respond, as necessary.
  • Identify and act upon all suspicious activity or potential criminal activity, retaining full control until emergency services arrive.
  • Escalate any issue by communicating these to the Security Supervisor.
  • Always communicate with team members and be able to highlight operational issues immediately in line with procedures.
  • Learn all client and Provincial procedures and ensure these are always followed.
  • Take part in fire drills, maintenance of life safety systems and being proactive regarding updating procedures when requested.
  • Engage with all training as required.

As agent your responsibilities will be more challenging and will include but are not limited to :

  • Ensuring the overall safety of employees and of the property.
  • Monitoring and protecting the environment.
  • Perform a variety of routine and non-routine duties associated with access control.
  • Complete and log reports.
  • Carry out audits as required.
  • Respond to any on-site medical incidents.
  • Secure and protect company assets, people, facilities and property.
  • Recognise and escalate all safety hazards and security vulnerabilities detected.
  • Complete regular site audits and complete reports and escalate findings to management.
  • Do you have?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional fluency in English
  • Courteous and professional telephone / email manner, with accuracy in relaying information
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of concentration and focus
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with excellent Customer Service
  • Demonstrate leadership competencies : to be a senior member of the physical security team and lead by example
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently while also being a team player
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the business and across diverse cultures
  • Ability to follow instructions, directives, and prescribed procedures
  • Good computer skills with the ability to learn new systems. Must be proficient and familiar with Google workspace
  • General knowledge of electronic access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems
  • Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • PSA Licence
  • Experience in incident management, managing medical incidents, corporate events
  • Supervisory management qualification
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Badging and CCTV monitoring experience
  • Preferred skills and experience

  • Close protection experience
  • Emergency First Responder
