Mechanical Fitter

GP Wood is one of Irelands leading timber processing companies, located in two West Cork sites. The Group manufactures softwood products for the construction, fencing and pallet industries in both home and export markets. Mechanical Fitter The successful candidate, working within the Maintenance Team, will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. A significant feature of this role is to minimise equipment downtime thus optimising overall plant performance. Candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of tools and skills used in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems. We are seeking time served fitters with experience within a high-volume production environment. This position will involve shift work. A generous package is on offer to suitable candidates.
