Job description

Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking to make a meaningful impact in the not-for-profit sector? An established national organisation supporting people with sight loss across Ireland is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented finance professional to join its team in Dublin.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations across a diverse group of entities, including services, retail, and sporting arms. This is a key role within the finance function, supporting operational and strategic decision-making and contributing to a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts (full P&L and balance sheet)

Variance analysis vs budget and prior year

Collaborating with managers to review financial performance

Managing intercompany accounts

Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

Liaising with auditors for year-end processes

Reviewing bank reconciliations

Assisting in annual budget preparation

Experience :

A fully accredited professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)

Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 in a relevant role

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship management skills

Salary / Remuneration

70,000 with pension and excellent annual leave.
