The opportunity RSM Ireland is seeking an experienced Corporate Governance Professional to join a dynamic and expanding Consulting Team in a hybrid role based in our Dublin office.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly successful team and contribute to our continued growth.
The main areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to : - Advise and assist clients on compliance requirements under the Companies Acts 2014.
Provide guidance on new legislation relating to company law and corporate governance matters.
Lead the company secretarial team to ensure exceptional client service.
Oversee the quality of the client database and manage the annual compliance diary.
Advise clients on, and oversee, company secretarial aspects of client transactions (e.g.
Corporate restructuring, share transfers or allotment, capital reduction, change of directors, strike off, amendment of Constitutions, buy back etc.) to include preparation and / or review of the necessary corporate approvals, Companies Registration Office submissions and statutory registers updates.
Liaise with lawyers, accountants, listing brokers, investment managers, and regulatory bodies such as the CRO.
Support our Core Function Team on company secretarial matters.
Conduct legal and non-legal research on behalf of clients and other fee earners.
Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management : Lead a significant portfolio of key clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assignments and advisory services while meeting agreed timelines and budgets.
Business Development : Drive business growth through identifying and cross-selling opportunities, leading tender processes, and actively participating in business-winning initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development : Manage and support a team of skilled professionals, promoting a positive talent experience, coaching team members on technical, commercial, and personal development.
Quality Assurance : Provide strong technical guidance to the team, ensuring that assignments are conducted in line with the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Performance Management : Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department, ensuring objectives are met and results are achieved.
Strategic Planning : Contribute to strategic planning within the department, supporting firm-wide initiatives to foster growth and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Leadership : Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to contribute to the overall growth and management of the Outsourcing and business unit.
About the ideal candidate The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience : Holds a degree in Business Law or Corporate Governance (Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland - CGI).
Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
Must possess excellent IT skills.
Experience with company secretarial software (e.g., Relate Company Secretary or Diligent) is preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Team player who is self-motivated and capable of managing their own workload.
Proactive in ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed on time and meet or exceed targets.
Flexible, organised, and performance-focused, with the ability to prioritise and balance business needs.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience influencing and supporting other business units, such as Audit, Tax, and Core Functions.
