We have an exciting opportunity for a Basic Grade Psychologist - Maternity Cover to play an integral role in a committed multi-disciplinary team.
37 hours Permanent, Full-Time

Responsibilities
- Focus on evaluating the services provided to patients or residents through conducting studies.
- The Centre requires a strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality for all patient / resident matters, staff information, and business affairs.
- Maintain the Centre's compliance with statutory regulations and guidelines always.
- Support in implementing practice innovations within the facility and assess their efficiency.
- Analyze the psychological needs of the existing patient population and formulate recommendations for addressing these needs.
- Conducting routine patient check-ups to assess their health condition and discover possible issues
- Giving appropriate advice for healthy habits and preventative actions to promote overall health
- Reaching an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
Requirements
A third-level degree or diploma that has been approved by the Psychological Society of Ireland and earned first or second-class honours with psychology as a major topic and honours earned in that subject (QQ1 level 8 equivalent).A similar degree approved by the Department of Health, or a certified postgraduate professional degree in clinical or counselling psychology.A minimum of one year of postgraduate work in professional psychology that is satisfactory.Candidates must show that they have completed at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as an adult psychologist, or at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements in suitable health settings (such as Adult Mental Health / Psychiatry of Later Life) as part of the professional qualification.Experience working in adult mental health and later-life psychiatry after obtaining a degree.Experience working in a framework or environment related to mental health rehabilitation.Cognitive-behavioral therapy training.Proficiency in at least one more therapeutic approach, such as dialectical behaviour therapy, family therapy, emotion-focused therapy, compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy, or psychodynamic psychotherapy.Benefits
